With New York Fashion Week fully taking over the city, a designer really has to go over the top to make news that grabs headlines longer than the usual NYFW news cycle—which is usually about three hours.

On Saturday night, Alexander Wang did just that.

At the end of his runway show, which featured his usual cool street style mixed with sleek and stylish high-fashion touches, the lights dimmed and it seemed like it was all over.

But then, an activewear collection that seemed too good to be true was announce: Adidas Originals by Alexander Wang. Models wearing shiny black tracksuits printed with Adidas’ classic trefoil logo (flipped upside down) started strutting down the runway.

That’s right, one of the original high-fashion influencers of athleisure has partnered with everyone’s favorite ’90s resurgence brand to create a full 84-piece unisex apparel and footwear collection that will be coming out sometime in the spring—official dates to come.

And although only tracksuit-inspired looks were featured on the runway, other pieces—such as sweatshirts, t-shirts, and one Puma creeper-esque sneaker, will be available in the spring as well. But in true “see now, buy now” fashion, nine pieces from the capsule collection were made available via pop-up trucks around NYC yesterday afternoon—with serious in-person, sample sale-like lines.

At three locations around New York City—Chinatown, Midtown, and Williamsburg, Brooklyn—large white trucks filled with plastic-bag-wrapped merchandise parked just long enough for shoppers to get a sneak peek at the collection before it sold out.

While mayhem surrounding the collection was intense, the actual shopping experience was incredibly organized and included “menus” for people in line to look over before getting to the front of the line and rules in place that only a maximum of four different pieces could be purchased per person—meaning you couldn’t buy four of the same sweatshirt. Prices of the nine shoppable pieces ranged from $80 for a graphic tee to $180 for the sneakers.

And two more sets of pop-up trucks will be hitting Tokyo and London on September 17—although further details like time and specific location are yet to be announced.

If waitlists and sample sale-length lines aren’t really your jam, have no fear—the full collection will be available online and in-stores sometime in spring 2017.

And in the meantime, you can get your virtual shopping bag filled by browsing some of the pieces from the Adidas Originals by Alexander Wang collection, below.
