When I was a kid, I could park it in front of the television for hours watching episode after episode of Supermarket Sweep. I don’t know why it was so enthralling to me, because there were never any surprises, given that everyone played by one rule: Go for the hams. In beauty sales (because it’s Amazon Prime Day, in case you haven’t heard), I find there’s a similar strategy: Go for the tools. While you’ll save 10 bucks here or then when shopping for skin care, makeup, and haircare, tools tend to cost the most and thereby help you save the most.

So in honor of one of the biggest shopping days of the year, I’ve scoured the Amazon site to bring you the best-of-the-best when it comes to beauty tools. There are makeup brushes that will keep your makeup game clean and precise to and hair tools that will send flyaways packing. So without further ado, these are the top tools to shop during the Amazon Prime Day sale. And of course, if you don’t need to go ham in the tool department, there’s plenty of skin care and makeup to nab, too.

Here, the top Amazon Prime Day beauty tools that you should snag now.

Jane Iredale Graphite Makeup Brushes, $32

Every makeup artist will agree: It’s key to invest in a great set of makeup brushes and then clean them religiously. If you’re anything like me, that second part can be tricky. I find that despite my best intentions I always have lingering pigment that just won’t come out. So, I like to invest in a set of brushes that are for vibrant hues, like pinks and corals, and some that are for neutrals. These are marked down 40 percent, as are PureMoist lipsticks; the rest of the catalog gets 20 percent taken off.

Clarisonic

Clarisonic, $110

This OG face-cleaning brand is one of five spotlight deals for Prime Day, and that means great things for the cleanliness of your complexion. The brand is offering 35 percent off all devices, which comes out to $110 for a new Mia 2. Meanwhile, Radiance and Deep Pore brush heads are on sale two for $25, and all of the other brush heads and applicators are 25 percent off.

Sonicare Diamond Clean, $120

Sonicare turns two minutes of clock-watching into a delightful can’t-believe-its-over experience. While the teeth-cleaning system usually costs nearly $200, the 40 percent discount brings that down to $120, which is one of the biggest beauty steals in my book. Invest now, and your smile will thank you…forever.

Blowdryer

Elchim 3900 Healthy Ionic Hair Dryer, $179

Blowing your hair dry can feel like a full-on arm-day exercise (ouch!), but this ionic, ceramic dryer aims to cut down your dry time by 30 percent. Best yet? If you buy today, you have $16 extra bucks in your pocket.
