#BPOTD: This Pillow Spray Is Beauty Sleep in a Bottle

Beauty editors have no shortage of skin-care and makeup goodies that come across our desks. So when we become obsessed with something, it says a lot. In our new “Beauty Product of the Day” series (#BPOTD, for short), we wax poetic about the items that are truly game changers for hair, skin, and nails.

When it comes to sleep solutions, there are options: melatonin, chamomile tea, diffusing lavender, and the list goes on and on. But when I'm sleep-poor and the minutes keep ticking by, stealing precious ZZZs right out from under me, I wish for sleep at my fingertips.

Ren heard my call and launched the adorably named product, & Now To Sleep, with the intention of delivering serious (and plant-based) tranquility—all via a couple of deliciously scented spritzes.

The formula uses an uber-relaxing blend of essential oils that are all meant to calm your body and mind so that all you have to do is drift into a peaceful beauty rest. They nailed it, because it's not just lavender (which science has shown to have a relaxing prowess) that stars in this spritzer—the spray also contains woodsy notes like frankincense (my personal fave) and cedarwood, as well as hops (which if you drink beer, you know can send you straight to snoozeville).

I've used lavender before in my diffuser at night to unwind (pre-bed, whilst Netflixing), and it's been helpful. But when I spray this product all over my bed, it entices me like nothing else—which is saying a lot, because my bed's already a place I love. The enchanting scent becomes what feels like one big hygge cloud that's ready to float me off into dreamland. I actually hit the pillow smiling because I'm that into it.

Now, every time I pump the elixir on my sheets, it has a Pavlovian effect—which is to say, it cues my brain that it's time to relax. Before I know it, I'm in a restful sleep, no tossing or turning necessary.
