The word “athleisure” was actually added to the dictionary in 2015, activewear continues to outpace denim in sales, and fitness fashion collabs, which Nike and Adidas have been doing with cult-fave designers (and Kanye), have taken off across the board.

Major designers announced partnerships, like Kate Spade with Beyond Yoga, and personalities got in on the game, too, like Leandra Medine of Man Repeller teaming up with Outdoor Voices. Hey, this is the how it all started in mainstream fashion…and we predict many more for 2016.

1. Derek Lam X Athleta
Leather, color blocking, and capes made this any cool-girl-who-loves-to-workout’s dream.

2. Bandier’s Art Basel collection
The activewear boutique spearheaded collabs between Reebok X Upendo Taylor, Ultracor X Malarko Hernandez, and Strut This X Christopher Lee Sauve.

3. Kate Spade X Beyond Yoga
There will be bows. Enough said.

4. Man Repeller X Outdoor Voices
A high-neck crop top, your first grade jump rope, and dark chocolate.

5. Sweaty Betty X Richard Nicoll
Subtle Japanese-inspired patterns and a color scheme of muted purple pastel, grey, and white.
