Yes, New York Fashion Week is exhilarating—the world’s top designers (and their model-muses) show off the chicest new styles for the upcoming season, dreaming up looks that will be influencing shoppers for  months to come, all while fashion elites watch (or, more likely, capture it all on Snapchat).

But, as anyone who’s ever attended NYFW knows, it’s also exhausting.

With back-to-back shows all over the city (ahem, Kanye), you’re constantly on-the-move. Which is why fashionistas—and, really, women everywhere—rejoiced when sneakers not only came back into style, but were knighted the it-shoe of New York’s best-dressed week.

And just as Stan Smiths exploded on the scene a year ago, a new crop of sneakers have taken their place. Because while NYFW is a time to test-drive new looks, you also wouldn’t be caught dead wearing last year’s trend.
