DVF partners with Roxy on a new swimwear line

DVF Loves Roxy 2
Swimsuits tend to fall into two camps: cute, slinky, and impractical, or functional and lacking fashion. Roxy’s new collaboration with Diane Von Furstenberg, DVF Loves Roxy, darns that fashion rift—melding DVF’s feminine, chic aesthetic with Roxy’s commitment to making clothes for active, fit women.

“Roxy tends to appeal to women and girls that love the outdoors because the brand is derived from the board lifestyle—both surf and snow. DVF brings a more fashion savvy customer to the equation, so together, the collection is intended for everyone, the outdoor girl and the stylish girl,” explains Roxy rep Danielle Beck.

The collection debuts on Roxy’s website, and at Nordstrom and Bloomingdales on Thursday, March 7. (You can get a head start at a kickoff event at the Soho Roxy store tomorrow, from 6-9 p.m.) Here, we give you a sneak peek at some of the line’s hottest items. Get Started
DVF Loves Roxy 3Roxy’s enlisted professional surfers Kelia Moniz and Monyca Byrne-Wickey to be the face of the brand. The two have been testing the suits’ resilience while riding serious waves. “It’s made for girls that love the water and being active,” says Beck.

Moniz, on the left, is wearing the Knotted Bandeau Bikini Top ($54) and Paneled Side-Tie Bikini Bottoms ($46) in Hopscotch Multi. Byrne-Wickey, on the right, sports the Crossover Tri Bikini Top ($48) and Binded Surfer Bikini Bottoms ($42) in Beach Garden Turq.

DVF Loves Roxy 4The collection really hinges on the bold prints that hearken a classic DVF style. Many are nature-inspired, like Beach Garden (pictured), Clover, and Sea Daisy. Others, like Roxy Maze and Hopscotch Multi, are super geometric.

DVF Loves RoxyAnd it’s not just suits. DVF Loves Roxy’s collection also includes super cute cover-ups, board shorts, and great beach bags like this DVF Tote ($68) that would be perfect for a lazy day in Montauk.
