I Found Something to Fix That Stupid Hair Bump I Always Miss With the Straightener

Today I was painfully distracted by that one blood-boilingly obnoxious bump in my hair. You know what I'm talking about, right? That dumb hair wrinkle that, despite years of straightening my hair, I cannot reach by myself and that I often have to beg my roommate to help with? That stupid thing? I was selfishly seeking a solution during our pitch meeting (because I am very professional) and the team was unanimous about the fix: Revlon Pro Collection Salon One-Step Hair Dryer and Volumizer.

Yikes, that's a mouthful. I think it was more delivered like, "That Revlon round brush thing...it's amazing!" Anyways, I was elected to test it out. If you have a mirror, the Revlon Hair Dryer, a waterbottle and a dream, fixing your hair bumps should be pretty effortless. Because it's a dryer, I had to pre-dampen the section first. Then, I combed up straight and under the bump so I could actually see what the hell I was doing in the mirror.

The result? The back of my head is practically spherical. In less than five minutes the Revlon Hair Dryer fixed a problem that has plagued me since I started playing with hot tools. The thing about my regular one-inch flat iron is that it doesn't have the same grip to pull a wide section of head above my hair. Like, last night I was seething watching the Chilling Adventures of Sabrina because the back of Kiernan Shipka's excellent ice blonde lob is flawless in a way that 16-year-old Mary Grace could never fully achieve...and TBH, same goes for 28-year-old Mary Grace.

And maybe that's the biggest thing to point out: Beauty is not my bag. My skin-care routine consists of spraying myself with Trader Joe's Rosewater toner and hoping for the best. So the Revlon Hair Dryer is really perfect for creating a style if you're not, mm, super cosmetically skilled.  At last!

Finally, a bobby pin-free way to nail the wrap-around ponytail. Bonus: how to master the messy bun for every type of hair (because real talk, trying to look effortless is a pain).
