Pharrell Williams is known for his youthful skin, but—just to be clear—the 44-year-old musical artist hasn’t remained the same age and doesn’t suffer from a Benjamin Button–esque ailment.

The musician does have some secrets though, and using his own personal fountain of youth isn’t one of them. In an interview with Dazed, he revealed his flawless complexion is courtesy of a strict daily exfoliation regimenand lots of water: “I exfoliate like a madman. When you exfoliate and you drink a lot of water, that does good for you.”

Nope—no expensive facials or magic potions. His secret is one anyone can try, and there are plenty of ways to master the art of exfoliation.

You could grab a device like the Clarisonic or the Foreo Luna, or simply use a washcloth and a mild exfoliator, says the American Academy of Dermatology. Either way, you’ll reap the Pharrell-sanctioned benefits.
