CBD Lipgloss Exists, and TBH My Lips Have Never Been Softer

To say that I have tried CBD in literally every iteration available would be the understatement of 2019. I've added it to my morning routine with Daily Habit CBD Powder, my skin-care routine with like, 15 different products, and my bedtime routine with the Highline Wellness gummies that live on my nightstand. So when a set of CBD-infused lip glosses made their way across my desk, I had a tingling feeling that my makeup routine was the next frontier to get the official cannabidiol treatment.

The lip glosses, from Saint Jane Beauty, are made with eight calming ingredients, including sunflower, jojoba, chamomile, grapefruit, and superstar CBD. They come in five shades ranging from bright pink to deep berry, all of which go on super-sheer with a hint of shimmer. "The idea is to microdose wellness moments throughout your day with small amounts of CBD," says Saint Jane Beauty founder Casey Georgeson.  "Many people carry their stress in their lips—imagine trying to smile while nervous—and Saint Jane is a glossy, silky, CBD-spiked way to incorporate wellness into your lip ritual."

As far as smiling through anxiety goes, well, #itme. So naturally, I decided to give these babies a try, and it was love at first swipe (AKA the opposite of how I currently feel about dating apps). Considering I grew up slathering my lips with Lancome Juicy Tubes ($19), I live for a glossy lip, and the Saint Jane glosses didn't disappoint. They were the perfect combination of shimmer and shine, and looked gorgeous on their own or slicked on top of a bold lip (I wore a berry shade called "Alchemy" over a coat of classic matte red, and got compliments all day long about how good it looked).

In addition to looking seriously stunning, I firmly believe that the glosses made  my lips feel better too. The gloss wasn't sticky or gross and left my lips feeling nourished and soft for hours after I shellacked them on.  The Saint Jane Beauty Microdose Lipgloss is available online now (for 28 bucks a pop), and will hereby be a permanent makeup bag staple for this CBD-obsessed beauty editor.
