How To Wear It: Shiny Leggings

1/4

ShinyLeggings_Taye_SoulCycle_WellandGoodNo, we don’t mean the highly reflective metallic lamé kind from ’80s music videos. Subtly shiny leggings that give a leather-like look are here. And yes, you can actually work out in them.

Taye Johnson, a master SoulCycle instructor, is a fan of the look and wears shiny leggings on and off the spin bike.

“I’m a huge fan of black shiny leggings because you can dress them up or down,” Johnson says. “I’m all about layering—that way you’re always ready for any occasion.” Johnson likes to style hers with a vintage crew neck sweatshirt over a sports bra and graphic tee, with ankle socks and boots.

“When you get to the studio, you just have to take off your crew neck, and after, throw it back on with a leather jacket or a varsity jacket and you’re ready for the street,” she says.
