The brand’s namesake and founder, Zara Terez Tisch, originally launched it as a leather handbag company before shifting into the colorful and printed world of apparel, first with a popular kid’s line and then expanding into women’s activewear in 2014.
“We have had the same branding since [the beginning] and as we’ve evolved into a vibrant and energetic apparel brand, we recognized the need for assets that represented who we are today,” says Amanda Schabes, creative director of Terez. “We are so excited to have an identity that matches our spirit of boundless exploration and positive energy.”
While the logo itself is changing—you’ll now find a charming black planet doodle on everything from hangtags to the e-comm site—the brand confirmed that its signature statement prints aren’t going anywhere. Instead, you can now pair the donut, bagel, and kale-emblazoned leggings with pieces from Terez’s recently expanded basics collection, which includes leggings, capris, and tanks in solid colors because sometimes you’re just not in the mood to power clash.
