What inspired you to become a trainer?

Becoming a trainer to me meant inspiring communities to grow physically and mentally stronger. Having others share the same passion as I do for fitness and enjoying pushing themselves is what I strive for. Every day is a learning day as a trainer, and I continue to grow as not only a trainer, but a friend to the community I work with.

“Becoming a trainer to me meant inspiring communities to grow physically and mentally stronger.”

What’s your favorite success story as a trainer?

My first client had a non-active tumor in her head. Every day—no matter what—she would be positive, coming into the gym with the biggest smile on her face. She continued CrossFit, and decided to start coaching kids. To have someone be this grateful for what I did for them, even if it is creating a workout for them, opened my eyes to the honor of being a trainer.

What’s the most surprising thing you’ve discovered about being a fitness pro?

Usually by the end of the week, everyone is exhausted from work and busy schedules, but my Friday night classes are packed. I’m amazed by the dedication and passion that my community has and their drive makes me strive to work harder for them.

The winner of America’s Most Inspiring Trainer will score a one-year contract with Reebok and major coverage on Well+Good. Cast your vote now!
