Here sunscreen-coated Shay Kostabi—master FlyBarre instructor newly based in Los Angeles—shares three toning exercises for abs, tush, and thighs, that you can do out of the studio and on the sand, whether you’re in Santa Monica (pictured), Southampton, or anywhere in between.
“All of these exercises are bikini friendly,” says Kostabi, and they also look pretty glamorous (versus revealing). “But just in case, bring a loose top or shorts to throw on while you’re getting your sweat on in the sand,” Kostabi advises. That way there’s also less sand-to-sweat stickiness. Also,”if you have a book, you can use it to smooth down your towel and make it more even and flat.”
