I knew Beyoncé works relentlessly for that rock-solid body, but I had no idea exactly what she did to get those legs, abs, and every other hard-earned inch. Until now.
Apparently Bey’s a fan of yoga (“I stretch my body out like the horizon,” she says); strength training; chasing her daughter, Blue Ivy, around the playground (h/t to all cool moms out there); putting in hours upon hours of dance practice; and, drumroll, please…running on the treadmill. Yes, even Beyoncé hits up the no-frills piece of gym equipment from time to time.

How, exactly, does Beyoncé motivate herself to last more than 20 minutes on the thing? (Asking for a friend….) “I teach my body every day that I can go a little further,” she coos in the video. “I know what it’s capable of—I’ve seen it before in miracles.”
Also, she’s a big believer in the power of visualization—especially when she hits the proverbial wall: “Even when my throat is burning and my lungs feel like they’re drowning, sweat is stinging my eyes, my feet feel like they’re gonna explode…when I’m about to give up, I picture that one person I love more than anyone, and I imagine myself running toward them,” she says. “I push past the pain and I find love.”
