Dance cardio superstar Anna Kaiser gets a studio in the Hamptons

Anna KaiserFor a few years now, fans of dance cardio superstar Anna Kaiser and her choreographed calorie-burning and sculpting routines have been working out with her in their Hamptons homes (ahem, Sarah Jessica Parker and Kelly Ripa), and in pop-up classes out East.

This year, they’ll have a sweaty space to call their own. Kaiser just debuted her first permanent AKT in Motion Hamptons studio, on Railroad Avenue in East Hampton, after spending time searching for the right space. It “soft opened” for private sessions over Memorial Day weekend and will be fully up and running after July 4.

“We really wanted the perfect location,” says Kaiser, of her new digs. “There’s a lot of energy moving through it.” And soon enough, sweat.

The 2,200-square-foot space comes with a large classroom studio (disco ball included), a smaller studio for private and semi-private sessions, a boutique, lockers, and restrooms. The summer-friendly space will have “the same branding that we do on the Upper East Side, with the quotes on the walls, and the white-washed lofty feel,” Kaiser says. “It’s going to feel like an AKT studio.” (With the coveted addition of natural light and ocean air that Manhattan’s missing, of course.)

The menu of classes will also be the same out East, and while Hamptons drop-in sessions will cost $40 compared to Manhattan’s $37, you can use your studio memberships seamlessly in both places. Participants in the Summer 2015 Bikini Transformation will be able to hop back and forth between the two, too.

Kaiser also plans to stay open most of the year, potentially only pausing classes between December and March, and working up to being open all 12 months. Between June and September, though, is when she’ll personally have a huge presence at the studio (when she’s not on the road training Shakira, that is). “It’s really important for me to be a part of it,” she gushes. “I’m excited!” —Lisa Elaine Held
