IntenSati founder Patricia Moreno is growing her workout’s LA presence

intensati_LA_patricia_morenoGet ready, Los Angeles. Patricia Moreno is coming.

The IntenSati creator with a cult following in New York City—thanks to her (non-yoga) spiritual workouts that combine cardio, martial arts moves, and personal affirmations—will be popping up for a rare appearance at 6:00 p.m. this Friday, October 9, at Naam Yoga in Santa Monica.

This is a treat LA doesn’t gets to indulge in very often, but the “thinner peace” guru is hinting that there may soon be many more classes where this one came from.

intensati_LA“I am going to LA this week because of a great demand for more IntenSati classes [there], and I am hoping to find teachers to help support [it],” says Moreno, who’s preparing to lead a seven-month teacher training, kicking off with a three-day intensive in LA on December 4. (You’ll learn not only how to teach an IntenSati class, she says, “but you also take yourself through an empowering personal journey of self love.”)

In the months to come, Angelenos will see more regularly scheduled IntenSati sessions cropping up at Naam Yoga and Equinox (locations TBA). As for the workout itself? “You can expect to sweat, laugh, and leave feeling incredibly empowered to live a life you love in a body you love,” says Moreno. That’s what we call a happy hour. —Erin Magner

$10 for Naam Yoga members, $19 for non-members. Location details and tickets at satilife.com/events
