Lady Gaga lit up the Super Bowl stage with a fiery, energy-packed performance—that roof jump, epic—and it turns out she had a little trick to getting pumped up. Celebrity trainer Harley Pasternak snapped a photo of the superstar doing a workout backstage, captioning the photo: “How amazing is our longtime client Lady Gaga at the Super Bowl today? Check out her pre-game warm up with TRX training straps! She’s proof that you always have time to work out.”

Doing a TRX workout—in Versace no less—moments before going all out onstage? As if she couldn’t slay harder. While Lady Gaga doesn’t typically work out in couture, she is all about breaking a sweat—and sipping on a beer afterwards.

“I work out a lot. I do the VersaClimber and sing while I do it.”

“I work out a lot,” she recently said on Good Morning America. “I do the VersaClimber and sing while I do it. [My Super Bowl show] is full-on cardio. It’s cardio while singing.” 

And turning to Pasternak is pretty hard-core. The celeb favorite has trained Rihanna, Katy Perry, Megan Fox, and Halle Berry—to name just a few of the bold-faced names who turn to him for toning tips. While your chances of getting a private workout with him are slim (a girl can dream), he does share some of his best tips with the masses in his books, The Body Reset Diet and 5 Poundsand yes, he reveals some meal planning tips, too.

Katy Perry might have had Left Shark, but Lady Gaga and Pasternak make a pretty damn empowering Super Bowl pair.
