Michelle Obama’s SoulCycle habit is even bigger than we thought

SoulCycle Michelle Obama

If you ignore the Secret Service detail in tow and her ability to close down a whole studio for a private class, Michelle Obama’s fitness habits really are just like ours.

The First Lady first admitted to her SoulCycle habit about a year ago, The New York Times reports. As the brand’s opened more studios in the Washington, DC, area, she’s been seen sneaking to and from class in at least three different locations.

But you won’t find her tapping back next to you anytime soon: Obama arranges private sessions outside of normal classes, sometimes inviting friends and her daughters to join. Because we all know we could never keep our cool if she was sweating it out to Justin Bieber remixes in the same room. (Can you imagine?)

While your chances of cycling with Michelle are exactly zero (sorry), running into a presidential daughter is a definite possibility in NYC: Both Chelsea Clinton or Jenna Bush Hager have shown love for SoulCycle, and Clinton’s even holding a fundraiser at the Tribeca location later this month to raise money for mom Hillary’s campaign.

Just don’t try to talk politics—they’re here for the same reasons you are: to sweat and escape their busy lives (if only for 45 minutes!). —Amy Marturana
