Gym class is about to get a whole lot chicer.
Stella McCartney was one of the first fashion designers to get into activewear, with her now 10-year-old Adidas by Stella McCartney line. Now, she’s turning her attention to the younger set, with a girls-focused collection called Adidas StellaSport, launching January 15.
“The Adidas StellaSport girl is young, current, and vibrant, looking to make a statement and stand out,” McCartney said in a press release. “We wanted to bring that to life within the collection and fuse performance with style to create ‘performance pop.'”
The line includes apparel, footwear, and accessories for activities like yoga, “studio,” running, and winter sports, and they come in explosive colors and fresh prints made to appeal to a teen audience.
With the growing number of boutique workouts focused on tweens and teens—from SoulCycle and AKT classes to CrossFit sessions—it doesn’t seem like the brand will have any trouble finding girls who are eager to sport the leggings and tanks, from chemistry to cardio dance class. —Jamie McKillop
