Will John Kerry be in your next SoulCycle class?

John Kerry SoulCycleThe indoor cycling craze is officially an issue of world diplomacy. Well, sort of.

This week, while presenting John Kerry with Foreign Policy magazine’s Diplomat of the Year award, United Arab Emirates Ambassador Yousef Al Otaiba also handed the Secretary of State something surprising: a gift bag containing class passes to SoulCycle, the Washington Post reports.

The gift was in response to Kerry’s bike accident in Geneva last spring. “At SoulCycle, there aren’t any curbs like the one that felled Kerry,” writes the Post. “Though perhaps there’s another danger: the boutique fitness craze is reportedly quite addictive.” Perhaps he’ll be sporting a skull tank around D.C. before we know it? —Sarah Sarway
