Taking a scenic train ride totally hits the wanderlust sweet spot. Not only do you bear witness to the panoramas unfolding just outside your window, but you also get to spend the journey focusing on me-time by reading, meditating, or having lengthy convos with your travel companion. And now there’s yet another reason—or rather, two—to book your Amtrak tickets, like right now: Through June 26 only, the railroad service is offering a two-for-one sale on its roomettes—AKA private rooms that snugly fit two passengers—enabling your plus-one to board for free.

The two-for-one deal applies to trips taken between August 20, 2018, and February 15, 2019, including routes from Atlanta to New Orleans (as low as $109 per person) and Seattle to Los Angeles (as low as $187 per person).

If you’ve ever seen the Sex and the City episode during which Carrie and Samantha stay in a super-compact private room on a cross-country train, well—you’ll understand that Amtrak roomettes are not exactly spacious. Even so, each compartment allows you to spread out far more than you could in a coach- or business-class seat. Two seats face one another and collapse to create an individual bed, and there’s a lofted bed as well (so you’ll be bunking it camp-style). Besides lodging, the fare also includes all meals in the dining car, coffee and room service in the morning, hot shower access, and turn-down service.

So whether you’re planning a vacay to culminate the summer or are already dreaming about your winter getaway, Amtrak has a roomette ready to give you vibes reminiscent of the train to Hogwarts (and equally enchanting views).
