If traveling more was one of your New Year’s resolutions, there’s no better time than now to make your globe-trotting dreams come true: It turns out January is the best month to book cheap flights.

After examining search data from 60 million monthly users, Skyscanner—a search engine especially created for flights—showed January is the ultimate time to make travel plans for the first half of the year. And booking flights during the first two weeks of the month—AKA right now—will likely leave you with the most savings.

By March, you can expect to see the prices of domestic flights increase by 13 percent and the prices of international flights jolt up to 56 percent more than the yearly average, according to Skyscanner data.

Despite this great news, you may still wonder: Will waiting really be that much more expensive? According to Skyscanner’s data, a price hike really does take place as the year goes on. By March, you can expect to see the prices of domestic flights increase by 13 percent and the prices of international flights jolt up to 56 percent more than the yearly average. Yikes.

Instead of waiting—then regretting waiting!—use this information wisely and get the ball rolling on booking the destinations on your healthy travel bucket list. Whether it’s a trip to the lush trails in Vancouver or to the small island of Ikaria in Greece, you won’t be disappointed (at least by the price you paid to get there).

Here’s why healthy travelers are choosing fitness retreats over spa getaways. Also, this is the snack Mandy Moore always has on hand when she’s traveling.
