You might recognize Ashley Madekwe from her turns on hit TV shows like Revenge or Salam. But more likely from Instagram where the South Londoner regularly shares her healthy lifestyle intel—including how she keeps her skin hydrated and glowy on the fly—with her 667K followers.

That was the topic of a recent story in which Madekwe shared the six travel skin-care products she uses on her face in flight. (The info is saved on her beauty highlight, btw.) First, she removes any dirt or make-up with Sephora coconut water cleansing wipes. Then, to help combat the dry, cabin conditions, she uses a toner. Her go-to? Mario Badescu facial spray with aloe, herbs and rosewater. (She also spritzes it throughout the flight when she needs a refresh.)

She seals her skin-care practice with Juno Sunday Riley hydroactive cellular face oil.

She spot treats any acne flair ups with an Indie Lee blemish stick, gives her skin an extra dose of moisture with Drunk Elephant intensive hydration gel—paying close attention to the sensitive layers around her eyes with Ettusais eye serum. Finally, she seals her skin-care practice with Juno Sunday Riley hydroactive cellular face oil.

And while her facial routine is extensive, it’s clearly effective. Plus, Madekwe doesn’t take it, or herself, too seriously. As far as her process for applying? “Just slather it on and hope for the best,” she shares. And she isn’t afraid to be gawked at by fellow passengers in her pursuit of healthy skin. “[They] will probably find this annoying and roll their eyes,” she figures. But in all likelihood they’re wishing they too were treating themselves to a little self-care at cruising altitude.
