Everything to Know About the Gem Show That’s Basically the Coachella of Crystals

crystal collection can help fill your rooms with mood-boosting, sleep-improving properties, and the rocks are becoming increasingly commonplace as woo-woo wellness enters the mainstream. Recently, that's translated into an onslaught of extravagant crystal experiences: a Dale Chihuly crystal-inspired sculpture in New York City, an entire park in Australia dedicated to massive geodes, and—happening right now—the increasingly popular Tucson Gem, Mineral, and Fossil Showcase.

The show takes place every year for two and a half weeks during January and February (this year from January 27 through February 11—so there's still time to get there!). And although an entire trunk show dedicated to geodes, crystals, and gems might seem targeted toward a somewhat-niche market (even if celebrities are catching on), the event is expected to bring 4,000 trade companies (according to Xpo Press), tens of thousands of tourists, and $120 million to the Arizona city this year alone.

The event is essentially the Coachella of crystals, and the headliners are dreamy hunks of calcite and giant rose quartz formations. Hopefully there will be nationwide encore performances.

Take a digital trip to the show with the mood-boosting photos below.
