A kale smoothie that tastes so summery it deserves to be sipped poolside? Done. Even if you're stuck inside, this recipe, courtesy of Simple Green Smoothies founder Jen Hansard, will give you serious vacay vibes.

“It’s super hot and humid where I live in Florida, and on a summer day, we sweat and lose precious electrolytes without much work,” says Hansard. “This green smoothie replenishes your electrolyte levels in just a few delicious sips.”

Made with kale, fresh mint, coconut water, pineapple, and lime, Hansard recommends using frozen pineapple to save both time and money. To prep ahead, combine all the ingredients (except the coconut water) in a freezer safe container and freeze until you’re ready to use it. Then, simply blend it with the coconut water. And totally understandable if you want to add a little umbrella in there for a finishing touch.
