After going through heartbreak, certain activities start to sound really good: eating (adaptogenic) chocolate, taking up boxing, and maybe even trying hypnotism to forget it all ever happened in the first place.

On the more uplifting end of the spectrum, self-care's pretty good too. Just ask Suki Waterhouse, who's had the misfortune of getting broken up with around Valentine's Day. In a recent interview with Refinery29, the actress and model revealed a certain beauty treatment that gets her through these delicate times.

"I have a three-hour bath and eat a lot of cereal in the bath."

"I have a three-hour bath and eat a lot of cereal in the bath," says Waterhouse. Um, go on. "I love making coffee grain and honey masks and covering my body with it to exfoliate. It's quite bad for cleaning up after."

First of all, it's not only brilliant because it involves both a DIY body scrub and antibacterial, anti-inflammatory mask—but carbs in the bathtub. I mean, science says that carbs release serotonin (the feel-good neurotransmitters in your brain), and when coupled with a stress-busting soak, it sounds like a winning combo to me. Welp, I know what I'm doing tonight.

To copy her idea, these are the best face mask and bath soak parings. And this is how to turn your bathroom into a dreamy, spa-like sanctuary to do it all in.
