Marie Kondo’s mega-popular book is becoming a TV show

Now would be a really good time to clean up your DVR.

It turns out we’re not the only ones who caught the declutter bug, a la one Marie Kondo and her bestselling book, The Life Changing Magic of Tidying Up; the Konmari method has wooed TV execs, too.

This week, NBC announced plans to turn the New York Times bestseller into a television comedy series of the same name. The show “centers on a young woman in a moment of crisis who attempts to get her messy life in order,” reports Deadline. The details are still a big vague, but we suspect the character will spend more time organizing her relationships than her Jazzercise DVD collection.

No word yet on when the show will air, but one thing’s for sure: Now would be a really good time to finally clean up your DVR. (Sayonara, Hoarders!) —Sarah Sarway
