I like to wake up in a Zen state of mind, so my alarm absolutely has to be a light and peaceful sound. I also keep my curtains wide open so the natural light can flood into my room and signal to my mind and body that morning is approaching.

I try not to look at my phone until after I’ve really woken up and mentally mapped out my day, free of distractions. Do I have time to make coffee and lay on the floor for a while? (Yes, I do this.)

THEN After I’ve stretched, moved, and meditated, my body is super ready for my special BulletProof blend: cold brew with with 2 tablespoons of Brain Octane Oil and one tablespoon of cacao butter. I’ve found that this regimen really helps with my stomach issues, and also allows me to start the day with a very alert state of mind.

I make time to connect. Most of the time I meet a friend for a run, a yoga class or a HIIT class at Orangetheory Fitness because workout buddies are the best! And I usually FaceTime with a special dude in my life, which is pretty much one of the best ways to wake up.
