Target’s New Home Collection Is a Love Child of Minimalism and Cozy Nancy Meyers Vibes

Target to launch home brand Made by Design

In the past year, affordable one-stop shop Target has really been pulling out all the stops. In addition to filling its beauty section with more inclusive options, it’s taken the affordable home market by storm with a series of collections like Chip and Joanna Gaines’ farmhouse-inspired line Hearth & Hand and eclectic Wabi Sabi dream Opalhouse. Now it’s hitting the design trifecta with a new minimalist brand, Made By Design.

Launching June 23, Made By Design is loaded with more than 750 items across bedding, bath accessories, storage solutions, kitchen tools, and furniture—all of which look as if a Nancy Meyers movie set (you know, The Holiday, It’s Complicated, The Intern) merged with Muji-esque Japanese minimalism. Prices range from $1 to $260, though most of the products are less than $30, in keeping with Target’s mission of accessibility and affordability.

Still, 750 items is a lot to sift through, so I’ve picked some of the most chic and functional options for you to bring refined minimalism to your home.
