These days I can’t get off the phone with my mom without her saying, “Honey, have you heard about this brand, Allbirds? I love them!” Yes mom, I’ve heard about Allbirds–we all have. But the wildly popular footwear brand isn’t just popular with my mom–it's popular with famously cool parents Mila Kunis and Ashton Kutcher, who have both been spotted wearing the brand out and about multiple times.

But obviously, Allbirds is a brand popular with everyone. I’m not a mom, I don’t have kids, and I swear by my Allbirds. And beyond celebrity power couple Mila Kunis and Ahston Kutcher, there’s literally an endless list of celebs who have been spotted in Allbirds: Emma Roberts, Hillary Duff, Cindy Crawford, Amy Adams, Jennifer Garner, and tons more.

The shoe of the moment, however, is the Allbirds Wool Runners, which were originally $110, but are now on sale for just $89—a deal that rarely happens, given their popularity. They come in two colors: a moss green and a deep cranberry, both with white soles. But if you’re not particular about choosing color—there is one shade of the Wool Runners marked down even more, to $74. The discounted sneaker comes in a pretty heathered burgundy, with a matching sole.

And if you’re still not convinced about the whole wool running shoes thing, just know that wool is actually quickly becoming one of the most popular sneaker fabrics. Allbird’s runners are made from merino wool that is so soft, completely-itch free, and naturally thermoregulating. So it wicks moisture, keeping you simultaneously cool and cozy. So, a pair of lightweight wool runners is actually the perfect gift (for yourself or the folks you love) as we get into chillier months.

But even if you’re lucky enough to live where it’s always warm and sunny, these wool runners won’t run you too hot. They’re specifically made to thermoregulate. Plus—and we love this—you can wash them in the washing machine at home (unlike your favorite merino wool sweater). Just be sure to carefully read the washing instructions when you receive them.

Beyond comfort, one of the things that has made Allbirds such a “hot ticket” sneaker is that the brand has remained devoted to sustainability and reducing everyone’s carbon footprint. Read more about Allbirds commitment to sustainability here.

They have a slew of perfect 5-star reviews, with one reviewer saying, “This is my fourth pair of Allbirds, and my first wool ones. The fit and feel is excellent, and I can wear them immediately. No breaking in necessary.” Writes another reviewer, “These were comfortable the moment I put them on, and I haven’t been disappointed. They have no signs of wear or tear in the last three weeks, even though I’ve worn them constantly since I bought them.”

Bottom line? Now that these wool runners are on sale, they’ll likely fly off shelves–so grab ‘em while you can!
