Over the past 12 months, I've become somewhat of a professional wedding guest. I've been to 20 of them (which I know is ridiculous), and have picked up some pretty solid tips along the way—like "always bring a backup dress" and "extra-strength deodorant is your best friend." The most important lesson I've learned, though, is also the most obvious: Always, always wear comfortable shoes. After all, nothing can ruin your night (or your dance floor moves) quite like blisters. Thankfully, I found a pair of heels early on in the season that I can wear for hours on end—and right now they're almost 30% off for Labor Day Weekend, bringing them down to just $40.

The Drop Women's Avery Square Toe Two Strap High Heeled Sandals ($40)—which are available exclusively on Amazon—have carried me through more ceremonies, receptions, and after-parties than I can even count. They've got a thick block heel that won't sink into the grass or sand (a definite pro for beach and farm weddings), and two well-fitted straps that don't rub against my feet. They come in every color you could possibly imagine, and I currently own them in clear, nude, and metallic pink. Now that they're on sale, I plan to add red, black, and white to my collection so that I can truly have an option that goes with everything. They pair just as well with jeans and a tee-shirt as they do with a black tie gown, which is how I plan to justify owning six sets of the same shoes.

As far as comfortable heels go, these sandals check a few podiatrist-approved boxes. They have a 3.5-inch lift, which is slightly higher than what you should be wearing every day but totally fine for special occasions. Plus, the block base is much better for your feet than a thin stiletto, as it provides a little extra stability. They run true to size, and have never for a single second pinched my feet or caused blisters.

The shoes are typically $55 (which is still a pretty great deal), but considering you can now snag them for only $40, the cost per wear is truly next level. I've still got two more weddings to get through before the end of the year (and yes, for those of you wondering, I am exhausted), and you better believe these babies will be on my feet until the band makes it through the very last chords of "SHOUT!" at each of them.

But wait, there's more!
