I’ll Be Taking a Cue From Blake Lively and Wearing My Hiking Boots Off the Trail, Too

Lately, it seems like celebrities love trading in their red-carpet ready heels for something a lot more comfortable, and we love that journey for them. Earlier this month, Jennifer Lawrence was spotted wearing the ridiculously cushy sandals from Oofos that double as recovery footwear. WhoWhatWear also reported that the new Ugg x Telfar Logo Mini Fur Boots ($250) have become the "it girl" of the footwear scene, nabbing the attention of A-listers like Gigi Hadid and Elsa Hosk.

But the celeb shoe moment we're definitely copying? Blake Lively's fashionable, functional hiking boots. Last week, Lively was seen strolling through the streets of New York in a pair of Chanel hiking boots that prove "gorpcore" is back. Paired with a simple white henley top and pinstripe pants, the Gossip Girl star looked effortlessly casual and totally cool—convincing us to take our hiking boots off the trail, too.

While we might not be rushing out to buy the exact Chanel boots Lively wore (they're expensive, to say the least), we will be wearing a similar shoe on the streets. Especially as winter rolls around, rain, sleet, and snow can make dressing for the elements a challenge. But weather is no match with a sturdy pair of hiking boots on your feet.

Below, seven hiking boots to rock this winter like Lively, whether or not you're actually hiking.

7 other hiking boots to lace up like Blake, on or off the trail

J. Crew, Nordic Boot — $198.00

J. Crew Nordic boots are a classic. There’s the suede, which is soft and cushy against your feet, or a new tumbled leather upper that’s extra durable against the elements. Each have the signature faux-sherpa lining and cuff that’s just as cozy as it is cute.

Sorel, Sorel Explorer II Joan — $140.00

New from Sorel, this sneaker-boot hybrid is made for all day comfort. There’s a plush EVA underfoot that feels like a cloud, while the waterproof exterior keeps rain and snow where it belongs: out of your boots.

If you’ve ever worn On sneakers, you know that they feel sorta like walking on a cloud. What these offer is cloud-like comfort that’s built for the great outdoors. They’re ridiculously lightweight, but super tough—built for taking the elements on like a champ.
