Welcome to Well+Good’s (Re)New Year—a five-week expert-led program that’s all about helping you have your best year yet. For Week Five, we’re excited to have Gabrielle Bernstein, the ‎self-help phenom (not to mention best-selling author and member of our Wellness Council). Throughout the week, she’ll be sharing her tips for how to channel the self love and confidence you’ve been working on throughout the program—so that you can be your most grounded and powerful self all year long.

Especially during this volatile political and emotional time, it’s important to remember that kindness and compassion rule all. It can be easy to get caught up in your stress, your to-do list, even the hustle of your job, but if you’re ever going to make it through this year as your happiest and healthiest self—while keeping all of your wonderful new healthy habits—you need to take time to look inward.

You need to remember to make space for stillness—time to quiet your mind and remember all that you’re grateful for. That means telling your loved ones what they mean to you and reminding them that you’re always thinking of them. And don’t forget to give some of that love to yourself as well.

This week, I’m going to help you get there: by slowing things down, maintaining your inner peace, and spreading your joy into the world. 

Together we’ll work to help you reclaim your inner strength and tap into your innate power so that no matter what pops in 2017, you’ll be up to the challenge. The only thing I need from you? To keep your heart open.

It’s easy to put up a guard and let your emotions build up over time; the real challenge is to stay open enough to let the the love and light in. With this five-day program, I’ll show you how. Tomorrow, the work begins—today, begin to turn inward, reflecting on what you want to get out of the year. And if you do that while soaking in a calming bath? Even better.
