Well, make that was: For its 2016 edition, the Italian tire company tapped renowned photographer Annie Leibovitz to shoot and direct a cast of strong and intelligent women like Amy Schumer, Serena Williams, and Tavi Gevinson, Elle.com reports.

And instead of covering up their bodies or featuring just their faces, the calendar celebrates their sex appeal, signifying a cultural shift towards the belief that, yes, women with brains and athleticism can be sexy (gasp!).
