We take a peek inside Adidas’ new subscription box

When the sleek, chic black box from Avenue A—Adidas’ new, cool subscription box service—arrived, we have to admit: it felt like an event. The joy of an unopened box! When you know there’s something great inside, is there anything better? Especially if the goodies inside were selected by someone with bold style, cool-hunting bona fides, and impeccable taste (AKA your dream stylist).

The box—curated by fitness it-girl Nicole Winhoffer—was filled with more than $500 in fitness fashion faves (though with a subscription the price is only $150, and you also get a box like this four times a year). Open it, and it’s instantly transforms into more of a (high-end) party vibe, with gorgeous packaging in a modern, pink-and-purple design.

The first thing we spotted? The sleek sneaker of the season: Adidas’ PureBOOST X. Not a surprise, since it was the only item in the box that Adidas revealed when Avenue A launched—but what we saw next was surprise after (delightful) surprise.

Here’s an item-by-item look at the Avenue A subscription box—including one super-brag-worthy find.

Adidas by Stella McCartney Big Sport Bag

Boom! This was the jaw-dropper—Stella McCartney’s take on a sporty tote. Functional but undeniably luxe (with a vibrant royal blue lining), this bag is huge (it could seriously double as a weekender). This is the item that everyone will be asking you about after spin class.

The nonrestrictive arch support (you can see that the shoe hugs the foot in the middle, instead of being adhered flush to the sole) is the show-stopper here. The combination of a sock-like feel and and the namesake “boost” midsole made us feel like making a run for it through the city streets on the commute home.

Run Pack-Dye Jacket

Perfect for runs this time of year, when clouds can quickly turn into hurry-up-and-sprint-home spring showers, the design on this super lightweight jacket is created using a Japanese dyeing technique—which makes each a one-of-a-kind.

Adistar Three-Quarter Tights

With a textured, geometric pattern, these tights add some major cool factor to the classic black run tight. They’re undeniably sporty (especially with the iconic Adidas logo) but the dimensionality of the fabric gives them serious all-around style points. And with a nifty sweatproof pocket, you’ll never hand the coffee guy damp dollars again during your post-workout fuel-up.

Supernova Mélange Bra (retail price, $40)

Stylish enough to stand on its own in any barre class, but supportive enough for the most intense dance cardio sesh, this bra is designed to keep you cool and comfortable by sweeping heat and sweat away from your skin. Props for the cool cross-back straps—and the juicy spring colors.
