1. If you’re a latte lover: Cinnamon coconut latte
The trick to making a frothy latte when you don’t have a fancy espresso machine? Using your blender! This recipe blends coffee, almond or coconut milk, coconut oil (or coconut butter), cinnamon, and vanilla for a latte that’s slightly sweet, without added sugar. Your typical order will taste down-right basic compared to this upgraded one.
2. If you’re a matcha queen: Vegan matcha frappe
If you like matcha, you’ve likely already mastered whisking yourself a cup of hot tea. But a vegan matcha frappe? Now that’s a morning treat. This one uses both plant-based milk and water to get that perfect frappe-consistency. Top it off with coconut whip, or enjoy it without—either version will be an energizing way to start the day.

3. If you’re into golden milk: Nut butter turmeric latte
As far as healthy morning drinks go, it’s hard to beat a steaming mug of inflammation-fighting golden milk. Turmeric is still the star of this recipe (along with black pepper, which helps with absorption), but it also includes nut butter, which adds protein. The key to getting the consistency just right, and avoiding clumps of nut butter in your mug, is (once again) using the blender.
4. If you’re a tea drinker: Chai tea latte
Tea tends to be a simple beverage, but that definitely doesn’t make it basic. Save the standard teabag-and-hot-water duo for throughout the day when you’re swamped getting everything done and start your morning by taking five minutes to whip up this beauty. If you’re in extra need of a caffeine boost, make it “dirty” by adding a shot of espresso.
5. If you’re into fancy Starbucks drinks: Healthy mocha breakfast frappe
There’s no shame in having a drink order that takes a full 60 seconds to say, and you don’t need someone in a green apron to get your fix. A healthier twist on a mocha frappe, this recipe uses coffee, nut milk, banana, cocoa powder, Greek yogurt, and ice. With the Greek yogurt, it has more protein than a typical mocha order—and will still have you licking the straw to get every last drop.
