Cleanse Your Home With Mama Medicine’s Dreamy DIY Ritual Bath

Many of life's greatest dilemmas can be mitigated by a long soak in the tub, especially when your high-vibe crystals, magnesium-infused bath salts, and Netflix queue are on deck to keep you company. By the time your bathtub therapy is a wrap (read: all the bubbles disappear), you'll emerge anew—smelling fresh and ready to take full advantage of your more serene mindset.

So why not offer that same post-cleanse euphoria to your healthy home? According to Deborah Hanekamp, AKA "Mama Medicine," you totally should. Rather than using the element of fire to burn sage or palo santo (as with traditional smudging or energy clearing), she offers up a recipe using water, instead.

During the latest Well+Good Talks event last week in New York City (and on a follow-up Instagram post), Hanekamp supplied a holistic ritual for rejuvenating your abode in the same way you would your body. "Just like our spirits homes need cleansing, blessing and protection so do our the places we call home," she writes in her Instagram caption. And guess what, all your faves—crystals, essential oils, and rose petals—are making an appearance in this routine (score!).
