In case you haven't heard, frigid temps—not to mention a full-on winter storm—have taken over the Northeast. The best thing to come from the frosty conditions? Magical photos of an icy Niagara Falls in upstate New York and Canada (although a WFH snow day deserves honorable mention). The natural wonder of the world currently looks like an IRL version of Frozen.

Sub-freezing temperatures over the past week have contributed to the crystallized ice structures forming on the falls, and Time reports that the weather forecast for the next few days will likely preserve the ice that's brought the hiking oasis some serious wintertime Instagram fame.

If braving the elements for the chance to belt "Let it Go" near the scene that looks like a dreamy snow globe isn't in the cards for you, you can just as easily get your Niagara Falls fix from the comfort of your warm hygge Zen den right now: I rounded up five of the most awe-inspiring Instagram photos of the winter wonderland.
