Along with still being an independent company that assists its users with odd jobs, the Taskers will also be readily available to assist with any Ikea-related needs for what looks to be a reasonable fee.

The acquisition news comes on the heels of Ikea’s new app release, Ikea Place, which provides an accurate image of how everything—couches, lounge chairs, coffee tables, you name it—will look in your home without you needing to step foot in a store.
These new convenience-forward developments align with Ikea’s aim to make life a little bit easier for its clients, Ikea Group president and CEO Jesper Brodin said in a press release. “We will be able to learn from TaskRabbit’s digital expertise while also providing Ikea customers additional ways to access flexible and affordable service solutions.”
There’s no word on exactly when you’ll be able to hire a TaskRabbit through Ikea, but since the deal is expected to close in October, you’ll have a helping hand sooner than you think.
