Dogs can get it too—at least, according to Julianne Hough, who swears by the wellness treatment for her two Cavalier King Charles pups. In a recent Instagram story, the actress-dancer-singer showed her very chill-looking dogs on the couch with acupuncture needles in place.

One study shows the treatment has efficacy in treating a wide variety of diseases, and pros actually get requests for it, too. "Acupuncture has a very long history of treating animals much for the same reasons humans," says Joseph Alban, L.Ac, a New York City-based acupuncturist. “A lot of people use it on their dogs.” So, there you have it: Woman's best friend likes the spa, too.
