If there’s one celeb that never ceases to amaze me with their streetwear fashion sense, it’s Katie Holmes. From the actress's choice of supportive, comfy sneakers, to her cozy outerwear fleece, every season the actress continues to serve looks that I can't help but add to my personal cart. And now that spring is on the horizon, I'm once again taking note of what Holmes is wearing, so I can better prep my own warmer weather closet. And lo and behold, the fashion icon has delivered, yet again.

Holmes was recently spotted walking the streets of New York City draped in goods from Everlane. Specifically, the actress wore The '80s Blazer ($185) and The Way-High Drape Pant ($128) in black and khaki gingham from the brand's new list of modern wardrobe essentials.

The ’80s Blazer — $185.00

Elevate your streetwear with The ’80s Blazer, which is now available in three washes.

The Way-High Drape Pant — $128.00

Made to fit loosely through the leg, these Way-High Drape Pants come in several washes including ash brown, slate grey, black and sandstone.

The Capsule Collection, which debuted February 27, includes several styles (including Holmes' two looks above) that are designed to be worn everywhere from brunch to the office. Thanks to the exaggerated lines on the blazers and wide leg silhouette for the bottoms, this 'fit is a modern twist on '80s workwear. The blazer's shoulders are softened, so angles aren't severe, and the trousers are designed to fit more loosely (yet still accentuate hips and booty). The oversized fit and lightweight (but sturdy) material make this an easy spring ensemble—it's warm enough to wear on its own, yet it's breathable enough so you don't start sweating after walking a few blocks.

Buy both blazer and pants, or get them separately—they work well together, but can easily work solo. The styles can be used as standalone pieces to create the foundation of a killer outfit. For example, pair your fave bralette under the blazer along with bike shorts and tennis shoes, or throw it on with some jeans. Since it's black and white, it'll complement everything you already own, so no need to work around it. The same goes with the trousers—you can easily mix and match with a plain black tee (like the one Holmes is wearing underneath—also an Everlane staple) or your favorite blouse or sweater.

The Organic Cotton Crew — $24.00

Made of lightweight organic cotton, this classic tee is the ultimate wardrobe essential—and it’s Katie Holmes-approved.

For those unfamiliar, Everlane prides itself on its commitment to sustainable fashion, often crafting clothes from materials like recycled water bottles to help produce quality and eco-friendly styles. In fact, the blazer spotted on Holmes is made with recycled polyester lining. Scope the rest of the Modern Wardrobe capsule here.
