Ashley Tisdale Shares Her Favorite Summer Essentials—How Many of Them Do You Have?

Tisdale recently partnered with breast pump brand Willow, stating how helpful their products have been on her own breastfeeding journey. "With my first, I did not have a great experience with breastfeeding, and this baby was so different," Tisdale tells Well+Good. "She latched right away, which was so exciting. And I was excited to be on this journey with her, but at the same time, getting back to everyday life was a little scary because you feel pretty locked into the chair and with the baby." Tisdale explains that the the convenience of the Willow Go Wearable Breast Pump was a "natural fit" and "made life a lot easier," especially as a mom who had to get back to work and breastfeed at the same time.

"The Willow Go pumps are just so easy to use; they're not complicated, they're comfortable, and they just get a lot of output," Tisdale adds. And because of how much milk she's able to produce with the breast pump, it's helpful for her to have a product that lets her take breastmilk on the go. "I love the thermos Willow has for the milk, because it helps [it] stay cool." Tisdale and her partner, Christopher French, do all they can to make travel time a fun time for their kids. "Me and my husband love to put together what we call 'the magic backpack,' and we've been doing it since Jupiter was little and could open the backpack herself," Tisdale says. "You put like little trinkets and toys in there and it's kind of like little surprises for her—even if it's just the tiniest things." But, it's not just trinkets and toys that Tisdale likes to fill the "magic backpack" up with. "Sometimes we even put like a coloring book in there," she says. "It kind of keeps Jupiter occupied on the plane, because she's so excited to just go through the backpack, let alone do the stuff that's in there." Keeping these activities ready for the kids has been really helpful for traveling easily, she says. Since there's a *relatively* big age gap between her two daughters, Tisdale makes sure she has travel supplies ready for both of them. "Jupiter, you know, she's four, and Emerson is nine months. So we're packing for two different ages," she explains. "Emerson is at that point where she's starting to crawl, so we like to bring blankets to put down wherever we're going." During the summertime, Tisdale and her family love traveling to the beach. And there are some kid-friendly essentials that she loves to bring with her. "They have these little tents for babies, which are so great and they kind of just like pop out. It's so good for when [the kids] are really small to help keep them out of the sun." As a mom, of course Tisdale makes sure that she packs everything she needs for her kids. But, there are some essentials for herself that she loves to bring along on trips. "I don't travel with a bunch of stuff, but something I do travel with is comfy socks," she says. "Jupiter laughs at me. She's like 'you're obsessed with socks, Mom,' but there's something about putting your socks on on a plane that just makes me feel so comfortable." One thing that Tisdale can't leave the house without is her sunglasses. After scrolling through her Instagram page, it's safe to say she has an impeccable collection of shades.
