Ashley Tisdale Shares Her Favorite Summer Essentials—How Many of Them Do You Have?
A peak inside her mom-friendly tote bag.

Saying Ashley Tisdale has her hands full would be an understatement. She recently reprised her voice acting role as Candace Flynn in the Phineas and Ferb revival (out now!), she's the founder of the wellness brand Frenshe, and she's now a mom of two to her adorable children, Jupiter and Emerson. And while she's wearing several hats at once—metaphorically speaking—she likes to keep another area of her closet simple and stress-free: her bags.
We had the chance to chat with Tisdale about what she keeps handy at all times, and here she shares her favorite summer must-haves. Take a look!
In her mom bag
After giving birth to her second baby in September 2024, Tisdale has now become an expert in packing her mom bag. As she navigates postpartum and breastfeeding, her tote currently carries a variety of products that make this journey easier for her.

Willow Go® Wearable Breast Pump
$280
20% off
Tisdale recently partnered with breast pump brand Willow, stating how helpful their products have been on her own breastfeeding journey. "With my first, I did not have a great experience with breastfeeding, and this baby was so different," Tisdale tells Well+Good. "She latched right away, which was so exciting. And I was excited to be on this journey with her, but at the same time, getting back to everyday life was a little scary because you feel pretty locked into the chair and with the baby." Tisdale explains that the the convenience of the Willow Go Wearable Breast Pump was a "natural fit" and "made life a lot easier," especially as a mom who had to get back to work and breastfeed at the same time.

Portable Breast Milk Cooler
$40
"The Willow Go pumps are just so easy to use; they're not complicated, they're comfortable, and they just get a lot of output," Tisdale adds. And because of how much milk she's able to produce with the breast pump, it's helpful for her to have a product that lets her take breastmilk on the go. "I love the thermos Willow has for the milk, because it helps [it] stay cool." The 16-ounce cooler helps breastmilk stay cool for 24 hours, comes in three colors, and fits in most standard-sized car cup holders.

Pump Anywhere Bag
$100
44% off
One of Tisdale's favorite Willow products is their Pump Anywhere Bag. "They have a really cute travel bag that I travel a lot with, especially because I've been traveling a lot to New York for work." This bag can also be worn in three different ways (crossbody, shoulder bag, or backpack), so you can customize it to your liking. The removable cooler makes it extra easy to store milk while you're on the go.

Frida Mom Postpartum Kit
$99
Let's be real: labor and delivery aren't exactly the easiest things to go through. But having the right tools as your body heals during postpartum can be a big help. "The Frida Baby Postpartum Kit was really helpful for me," Tisdale notes. This 15-piece kit includes a nursing gown, disposable underwear, socks, iced maxi pads, a toiletry bag, and more.

Medela Hydrogel Pads
$10
9% off
"What I learned with breastfeeding is that, you know, it can be painful sometimes, especially after doing it for a while," Tisdale explains. "So I have these amazing little kind of refrigerated nipple cushions thaat can help cool down any type of discomfort." These nipple cushions come in the form of hydrogel pads that have an immediate cooling effect and helps heal any soreness or cracking.
In her travel bag
Now that Tisdale is back at work, she's traveling...a lot. But with summertime almost here, she's also hoping to take some family vacations and spend quality time with her loved ones. Tisdale mentioned her 40th birthday is just a few short weeks away (July 2 to be accurate!)
"I don't think I need a big party," she says. "I just wanted to go on vacation with my kids and my husband and my mom and dad. I haven't really done a big family vacation like that in a long time." Tisdale shared that she celebrated a little bit early with a relaxing vacation to Kailua-Kona, Hawaii a couple of months ago. And her bag was definitely prepped with all her travel must-haves, like these ones below.

Dreamer Geo Jungle Kids Backpack
$54
Tisdale and her partner, Christopher French, do all they can to make travel time a fun time for their kids. "Me and my husband love to put together what we call 'the magic backpack,' and we've been doing it since Jupiter was little and could open the backpack herself," Tisdale says. "You put like little trinkets and toys in there and it's kind of like little surprises for her—even if it's just the tiniest things." And this kid's backpack from Crate and Barrel has enough space to hold any toys and activities for your little ones inside.

Arteza Kids Coloring Book and Colored Pencils Kit
$18
But, it's not just trinkets and toys that Tisdale likes to fill the "magic backpack" up with. "Sometimes we even put like a coloring book in there," she says. "It kind of keeps Jupiter occupied on the plane, because she's so excited to just go through the backpack, let alone do the stuff that's in there." Keeping these activities ready for the kids has been really helpful for traveling easily, she says. This coloring book is a great option for young kids, and it comes with a set of colored pencils, too. A bang for your buck if you ask us!

Cloud Island Flannel Baby Blanket
$10
Since there's a *relatively* big age gap between her two daughters, Tisdale makes sure she has travel supplies ready for both of them. "Jupiter, you know, she's four, and Emerson is nine months. So we're packing for two different ages," she explains. "Emerson is at that point where she's starting to crawl, so we like to bring blankets to put down wherever we're going." This four-pack set of flannel blankies from Target offers a soft, warm, and easy-to-pack option if you're traveling with young ones.

Babymoov Anti-UV Tent
$60
During the summertime, Tisdale and her family love traveling to the beach. And there are some kid-friendly essentials that she loves to bring with her. "They have these little tents for babies, which are so great and they kind of just like pop out. It's so good for when [the kids] are really small to help keep them out of the sun." Sun protection is a must, especially for babies. This anti-UV tent offers protection from the sun and bugs, and is perfect for any excursion—whether it's the beach or park.

Athleta Cloud Scrunch Sock
$19
As a mom, of course Tisdale makes sure that she packs everything she needs for her kids. But, there are some essentials for herself that she loves to bring along on trips. "I don't travel with a bunch of stuff, but something I do travel with is comfy socks," she says. "Jupiter laughs at me. She's like 'you're obsessed with socks, Mom,' but there's something about putting your socks on on a plane that just makes me feel so comfortable." These socks from Athleta aren't just comfy, they'll make you feel like you're walking on a cloud.
In her self-care bag
When Tisdale is taking a *very quick break* from being a mom, actor, and entrepreneur, she's making time to take care of something super important: herself. Wellness and self-care aren't just important for her, they're good for her mental health. Here, she shares which self-care products make her feel her best.

QUAY High Key Mini Aviator Sunglasses
$70
One thing that Tisdale can't leave the house without is her sunglasses. After scrolling through her Instagram page, it's safe to say she has an impeccable collection of shades. One of the pairs we found was the Dita Talon sunglasses, which come with a pretty hefty price tag—almost $700. But, the aviator sunglasses have a ton of dupes, like these ones from Nordstrom that offer 100 percent UV protection and perfect for a fun day at the beach.

MERIT Shade Slick Tinted Lip Oil
$24
"I'm pretty simple and stick to the essentials," Tisdale says. And one of those essentials is lip gloss. Tisdale partnered with minimalist makeup brand MERIT Beauty to curate her own collection of products. The Shade Slick tinted lip oil is a summer must-have for anyone who wants a natural, but high-shine finish. Plus, the lightweight formula is hydrating and moisturizing, so it doubles as skincare for your lips.

Being Frenshe Body Wash
$15
17% off
We can't forget about Tisdale's own wellness brand, Frenshe. "I use a lot of my Being Frenshe body wash," she says. "It has mood-enhancing scent technologies that make you not only smell good, but feel good." This body wash comes in six different scents: Solar Fleur, Lavender Cloud, Citrus Amber, Cashmere Vanilla, Salty, and Palo Santo Sage—all of which will keep you fresh and hydrated when the heats starts turning up.
Her summer plans
And as for Tisdale's plans for the season? Well, let's just say she's hoping for a lot of fun in (and out) of the sun. "This is going to be my summer of fun," Tisdale says giddily. "We are finishing up our place that we have in Malibu, so I'm really excited to just spend time there at the beach."
But as much as Tisdale loves relaxing outside, she's a cozy girl who loves being at home, too. "I love comfy things, like my blankets and socks—it just makes everything feel a little bit more luxury," she says. Alongside basking in the joy of her soft items, she also plans on focusing on her well-being. "I love a good book. Usually, my books have something to do with mental well-being, and I just love to always be growing as a person and learning more." For all the bookworms out there, you might be happy to hear that Tisdale also has her own Frenshe Book Club, and you can find all her book recs right here.
Wellness for her also comes in the form of audio. Tisdale explains she loves meditation apps and always wants to have a fun playlist on. "I feel like music is always something that puts me in a really great mood," she says. "I just love a good Spotify lazy Sunday playlist or coffeehouse vibe or some indie music." She adds that the vibe is even better when "the candles are lit and the windows [are] open—it's the best."
And her rest is very well-deserved. "I've been kind of working nonstop the last couple of months, so it'll be nice to just kind of have some time off," she adds. Hopefully, her story also inspires you to take a few moments out of your day and make some time for self-care, too.
