One nice thing about TikTok is that you can find honest reviews from real people. It’s not all influencers trying to make a quick buck. Because of that, so many beauty products have taken off from those videos, be it a cleanser or a makeup product. This time, it’s Maybelline’s Lash Sensational Sky High Mascara, which—despite only being $8 to $11, depending on where you buy it—is said to be better than most options from high-end brands.

Since user @kspader79 posted her review a few days ago, it has garnered more than 22 million views and nearly 5 million likes. “If this can make these [lashes] look like that… yeah, sign me up,” she said. A few coats later, her short and sparse lashes look like falsies. “Where did those lashes come from. Are you serious right now? Okay, go buy it,” she said. And people did. And you? Well, buy it quick. It’s still in stock at CVS and Rite Aid (for now!), but it’s completely sold out at Walmart and Ulta. It’s also backordered at Target (until January 17) and Amazon (until January 15).
So, how does this mascara have such a dramatic before and after? While the flexible brush is super bendy, allowing you to coat every lash from root to tip, the formula has a not-so-secret ingredient that helps with length and volume: bamboo extract and fibers. As you coat your lashes, it’s like you’re swiping on new ones. They’re long and full, yet not at all clumpy like you’ll sometimes find when using fiber mascaras. I don’t know about you, but I hit that “add to cart” button real quick. Long lashes, here I come.
Now that you have the best mascara for long lashes, shop some skincare:
