The Skin-Care Practice Meghan Markle’s Facialist Says Will Get Her Wedding-Ready

Plus Serena Williams' advice to her bestie for banishing pre-nuptial jitters.
Sure, Meghan Markle has had a pretty intense glow lately—but it's not just because she's head over heels in love and gearing up to marry an actual prince. Rather, she has a secret weapon to her flawless complexion: facial massages.

Markle has been seeing London-based facialist Nichola Joss for years and even credits the skin-care guru for making her cheekbones and jawline pop like never before.

"I do facial exercises from one of my favorite aestheticians, Nichola Joss, who basically has you sculpt your face from the inside out," Markle told Birchbox in 2014. "I swear it works. On the days I do it, my cheekbones and jawline are waaaay more sculpted."

Given that her May 19 wedding date is quickly approaching, Markle can probably use all the relaxing treatments she can get. But Serena Williams, one of Markle's besties, recently offered some sage advice to squelch any pre-nuptial jitters the former actress may have. The all-star athlete, newlywed, and new mom recently told Good Morning America that being totally present at your wedding is key, because—especially in this case, which is one of the most highly-anticipated events of the year—it's easy to get caught up in the madness. "I just think it's so important to enjoy the moment. And eat the cake," Williams says.

Still, Joss has some intel on how all women (royal or just royal in spirit) can get glowy, baby-soft skin too.

"You want to start getting regular massages from the beginning of your skin-care journey, since it not only helps remove the tension in the face, but it also really helps improve the texture when you massage with a good, clean facial oil," Joss told Marie Claire.

Thanks to the easy-to-follow instructions Joss posted on her Instagram, you can try your own hands at a facial massage from the comfort of your own Zen den. Just make sure you choose the right oil for your skin, whether it's Raw is Everything's organic, cold-pressed, unrefined, single-ingredient skin oils or Själ’s Saphir Concentrate, a celeb-favorite that contains botanical retinol, blue chamomile, and blue sapphire and aquamarine gemstones, or something else entirely.

This way you'll likely have royal-worthy skin by the time Markle walks down the aisle (and potentially celebrates with some banana cake).

Here's why Meghan Markle quit making New Year's resolutions. Also, take a look at her Toronto home that just went off the market.
