My Five Beauty Obsessions: Kristie Streicher

Known for her (literally) trademark Feathered Brow, Los Angeles-based aesthetician Kristie Streicher is beloved by beauty editors, the Olson sisters, and Rachel Weisz to name a few.

And last week, Streicher opened Striiike Beauty in Beverly Hills, a collaborative space (at 9278 Civic Center Drive) that the brow wiz shares with sisters Ashley (hair stylist) and Jenn (makeup artist), for a serious beauty hat-trick.

With her tweezers on the pulse of LA beauty, she’s also the epitome of a Californian outdoorsy, low-maintenance beauty sensibility. “My philosophy has always been less is more,” says Streicher, who’s a certified yoga instructor, and an avid surfer, snowboarder, and hiker. “It starts with healthy glowing, radiant skin, full and lush brows and lashes, and then all that’s needed is a nice pop of color on the lip.” (As her photo attests.)

Streicher’s secret to achieving those lush brows lies in judicious plucking rather than waxing and leaving the “tails” and “sprouts” on the brows for a slightly longer, softer, feathered shape. “Fuller, thicker brows are the secret to a younger looking face,” she says.

As for her secrets to radiant skin and that colorful lip? Here she shares her beauty obsessions. —Rachel Marlowe

1.Caudalie Divine Oil,  $49This luxurious dry oil comes by its name honestly. It feels and smells divine. Itmagically disappears into the skin providing nourishing and lasting moisture. The blend of grapeseed, hibiscus, sesame, and argan oils leaves my skin radiant and soft and it’s paraben, sulfate, and phthalate free.

2. RMS Beauty Lip2Cheek in Smile, $36This product is like no other. It gives the most beautiful healthy glow to the skin and the sheer coral-pink color of Smile is perfect, as it’s just warm enough to wear alone and pull off a natural sun-kissed look.

3. Afore Oil, $45 (Call to order: 310-205-2600)I developed this oil as a pre-treatment to soothe the skin and soften the hair before working on clients’ brows. Now I keep

this oil in my purse at all times as you never know when you’ll want to add a healthy glow to the skin. On plane rides I massage into the dry areas around my eyes and its great for cuticles. The lightly scented aromatherapeutic oil blend of lavender, citrus, ylang ylang, patchouli, and blue tansy is calming to skin and mind.

4. Grande Lash MD Eyelash and Eyebrow Formula, $65Grande Lash-MD is made with

natural ingredients like vitamins, peptides, and amino acids that help with lash and brow growth. This product reallyworks and doesn’t come with the sensitive, dark eyelids, and other side effects you can get with using others serums such as Latisse.
