My Five Beauty Obsessions: Winnie Beattie

She may radiate laid-back, beachy Boho-chic cool, but Winnie Beattie is constantly in motion. "It’s busy," she says. "We like it like that."

The "we" refers to Beattie and her husband Rob Magnotta, whom she met while surfing in Montauk, after moving to New York from Hawaii to work in fashion.

In addition to their day jobs—Beattie runs Siren PR and Magnotta represents photographers—and raising three young boys, the pair owns Warm, the Nolita boutique where models like Hanne Gaby Odiele and other downtown fashionistas stock up on breezy dresses, alpaca blankets, and earthy, handmade home goods.

Beattie says they spend their life "in pursuit of warmth–in people, places, and objects," and the store is the physical manifestation of that journey, with an aesthetic she also likes to describe as "Malibu meets the Marais."

To that end, she also stocks the store with multipurpose and beautifully simple beauty products—or "things that make you look like you've had a good night's sleep and a vacation," she promises.

Here's what Beattie's currently using (in between surf sessions) to get her own warm, healthy glow, now. —Jamie McKillop

1. Brooklyn Beach Hair ($20) Given my love of beach, surf, and sea, I am a sucker for any and all beachy hair products. But this one is my favorite, as it's made from all-natural ingredients like rosewater, rose geranium water, sea salt, jojoba oil, and natural fragrance from essential oils. I use it on wet or dry hair, and it gives me that tousled, beachy, messy, perfectly imperfect hair that I love. It really smells amazing, and the jojoba oil keeps it from being too drying.

2. Kopa Kauai Sea Salt Soaps ($10) I grew up in Hawaii, where scent and fragrance and nature are integral parts of daily life. Now I get to 'bathe with Aloha' each day using soap handmade with coconut oil, sea salt, avocado oil, and mango butter.

3. Deborah Lippmann Sheer Nail Lacquer in Naked ($18) I have three kids, and I surf as often as possible, meaning it is virtually impossible for me to keep a mani or pedi looking good for long. However, Deborah Lippmann polishes last forever, are free of parabens, sulfates, DBP, and are not tested on animals. This sheer clean beige also can take me from the beach to Fashion Week effortlessly.

4. Teresa Pemberton Parramoure Body Oils ($100, available at Warm) Teresa is one of the top editorial makeup artists working today, and she makes these incredibly delicious smelling hand-poured oils in small batches. Because they're handmade and often use ingredients from her gardens, each batch smells different and unique, but equally as amazing as the last. They are deeply moisturizing and really raise the spirits, sensuality, and a sense of calm. I put them in my hair and on my body after surfing.

5. Warm Fragrance Oil ($40) My dear friend and nose who lives near Malibu, Sarah Horowitz, made this for me as a gift. She thought I always smelled like a day at the beach: salty, sunny, sandy, but with a little musk. I was always complimented whenever I wore it (which was daily), so when my husband and I opened our store, we asked Sarah to make it for us so I could share it with everyone. It's hands down the best selling item in our store, and we sell it every single day. It's a mix of bergamot, lily, lemon, musk, and a tiny bit of patchouli. It smells like naked skin after a day at the beach. We intentionally put it in a tiny roll-on bottle, as the Warm girl is always on the go.
