Meaning that, while yes, everyone's clamoring for PSLs and snuggly PJs, they're still, *ahem*, pining for sunny day snacks. And who can blame them? Unlike pumpkin guts (which have little to no noshing potential), the inside of a pineapple yields sweet, sweet fruit that you can freeze for future smoothies or cocktail hours.
“Scooping out the inside can be a little tricky. Cutting the center out in quarters definitely helps, but don’t worry about getting a little messy, that just means you’ll have extra juice in your cocktail,” says Ella Dove, recipe developer and Well+Good video producer. Step 1: Cut off the top of your pineapple.
Step 2: Use your knife to cut a circular hole in the interior of the fruit.
Step 3: Cut the sphere into wedges that you can easily remove.
Step 4: Scoop out any remaining flesh with a spoon.
