Successful women, like Arianna Huffington and Robin Roberts, make time to meditate every day—and it’s doing wonders for their careers and minds.

Making time to meditate is no simple task. It’s not exactly easy to put down your iPhone and sit in silence for 20 minutes when your to-do list has more tasks added to it every few minutes. But it’s one of the best things you can do for your body (and your sanity), say experts.

Recently, we attended an event hosted by the David Lynch Foundation, an organization that brings Transcendental Meditation (TM) to inner-city youth, veterans, and women and children who are survivors of domestic violence.

Many women with incredibly successful (and stressful) careers—including Good Morning America’s Robin Roberts and Arianna Huffington—spoke about how TM has made a huge impact on their lives. (The concept of TM is that you sit for about 20 minutes, twice a day—and it’s scientifically proven to do your body good.)
