Is fresh-pressing your juice just not feeling as appealingly juicy in the crisper fall climes?
Best-selling author Kris Carr wants you to know: Even though temperatures are dropping, it doesn’t mean you have to trade your green juice for green tea every day (although the tea sounds good, too). “Juice can have a warming effect if you add a little kick to it,” explains Carr, who’s penned two super-popular cookbooks, Crazy Sexy Diet and Crazy Sexy Kitchen (with Chef Chad Sarno).
“I like to put extra ginger in my green juice when it gets chilly outside. Plus it promotes circulation, healthy digestion, and it’s also great for boosting your immune system,” she says, which you really need as cold-and-flu season presents itself.

8 romaine leaves
2 green apples
1-inch piece of ginger
1 lemon, peeled and quartered
