Even the freezing-cold tundra isn't a match for #bossbabe athletes. Not only did Felicity Aston recently become the first woman to ski across Antarctica by herself—dealing with her period in subzero temperatures and all—but now, an all-star pack of female skiers has officially made history as well.

Six women from the British army who call themselves "The Ice Maidens"—AKA about as badass as names get—just became the largest group to ski across Antarctica. According to Esquire, the team completed the 1,000-mile expedition in just 62 days rather than the expected 70 to 80 days, with each woman pulling a 176-pound sled in 60 MPH winds and -40°F temperatures, ostensibly requiring the coverage of the full face masks pictured in the Instagram below. (NBD, totally normal skiing circumstances, right?) But the tough trek was totally worth the trouble.

"This journey has had good times, bad times, and great times for all concerned, and each of them, I know, has made us better people."—team leader Major Nics Wetherill of the Royal Army Medical Corps

"This journey has had good times, bad times, and great times for all concerned, and each of them, I know, has made us better people," team leader Major Nics Wetherill of the Royal Army Medical Corps told the magazine. "I'm just so incredibly proud of the team. I can't believe how far we've come."

One thing's for sure: This incredibly inspiring group of women will make you think twice the next time you want to complain about carrying your groceries home in the cold.

Here's how the Nike Pro Hijab is changing the game. Also, find out how prehistoric women might have been stronger than today's top female athletes.
